Precision in plastic

Established in 1947, Thermotech Precision Molding (TPM) is a market leader in bespoke thermoplastic, thermoset injection molding with four facilities located in Hopkins, Minnesota, Juarez, Monterrey and Queretaro, Mexico. With a combined total number of 155 injection molding machines ranging from 25 to 1,450 tons and secondary equipment including; vibration, ultrasonic, hot plate welding, leak decay, pressure and flow testing, all four plants have the ability to mold individual components or complex sub and final assemblies.

TPM capabilities and services include thermoplastic and thermoset molding, insert, 2-shot and over-molding, decorative, assembly and test. We mold with a wide range of engineered resins and offer design resources to Partners that require product and tool design.

Our in-house tool capabilities enable the ability to fine tune new tooling, perform design changes and undertake routine preventative maintenance. TPM works with our global tool sources to develop best in class tooling.

A specialized TPM core competence includes a well-defined tool transfer program which supports our Partners needs to often resource tooling at an expedited timeline. This offers our Partners the ability to protect their supply chain and to ensure optimized use of their critical resources.

TPM market operations include; Automotive, Small Engine, Consumer Products, Industrial, Packaging and Medical. TPM molded components can be found in our Partner’s products around the globe.

Our divisions
Hopkins Plant

TPM HOP is located at the TPM headquarters. In addition to being one of our longest running facilities, HOP is home to the TPM New Product Launch team (NPL). NPL assists all TPM facilities with tool and program launches. HOP is also home to innovative tool and secondary equipment design and build teams. HOP has a diverse customer base servicing all market segments, with a focus on automotive, commercial and industrial markets. HOP has built a reputation as a high value solutions provider and is targeting the medical supply market for increased market diversity and to take advantage of the local medical equipment partners located in and around the greater Minneapolis area.

Juarez Plant

TPM JRZ is located in close proximity to the border in the industrial rich city of Juarez. JRZ hosts the largest tonnage Injection Mold Machines engaged at TPM. Ranging from 75T to 1450T. JRZ manufactures complex components and assemblies that support automotive, transportation, electronic consumer goods and recreational markets. JRZ provides JIT delivery for customers located in the northern regions of Mexico and southern US locations.

Monterrey Plant

TPM MTY is located in Monterrey, Mexico. Our newest facility is prime to receive new customers to bolster the growing automotive, industrial and commercial markets. MTY has a particular focus on developing sales to the Monterrey medical market segment. The new MTY facility is located in prime industrial area and is poised to use their bright and well organized facility to service new customers in the region.

Queretaro Plant

TPM QRO is located in beautiful Queretaro, Mexico. QRO manages and supplies complex assemblies to the automotive, industrial, recreational vehicle and electronic consumer products markets. QRO has a repuation for providing fuel flanges and fuel distribution components used in Internal Combustion Engines (ICE). QRO has been established as a reliable supplier to the Electric Vehicle market (EV) with major program awards. QRO is committed to provide solutions to the emerging EV market and confirm that TPM QRO is a premier solutions provider to the established ICE market.
